Well almost, I got a few hours left yet.
It hardly seams like a year, its gone so quick.
Ive had a really good time and learnt so much.
The team got me a really nice leaving present, a shiney new graphics tablet!
New IP ready… Projects handed over… Guess I better tidy up my desk and get ready to go.
Well the new IP has been heere since Monday so this week I’m mostly showing him how things work and palming off work I dont want to do on to him. Its good not to be the bottom of the pile any more!
Im only joking, weve been working on stuff togeather.
Today we went for a curry for lunch to celebrate (or comisierate) my leaving. Im stuffed now and finding it hard to stay awake.
And I was given another 2 ballons. 1 was a Patrick . Unfortanatly he slipped off the string just avter we got back to work and is currently folating on the glass celing of reception. They wernt very impressed.
Next week is my last week and there hasn’t been a lot of work so Ive just been sorting things out for when I leave and preparing stuff to hand over to my replacement.
Only other stuff Ive done is design a team map, PDF the quick use guide in 12 or so languages and make the fax training more fun.
Oh, and last week I did some force ten training.
Today I moved desks.
Its only on the other side of the pod, but its nearly twice the size.
I’m lost with all the space. And I have a shelf. And my draw is next to me, not next to someone else like it was before. Though I have whacked my knees on it a few times…
This week I’ve been making a survival guide for the new IP. Something to help him through his first week or so.
I think I might have gone a bit over the top with it, but I’ve not got much else on at the moment.
Today at lunch my fruit salad exploded.
Well the top popped off and flu 12″ in the air before landing on my tray. No one had touched it. It was just sitting in a sunny spot of the table. Guess it was a little to sunny. Made a bit pop and every one at the table jumped.
Anyway on a slightly more sensible note…
I still hate Frame. Handed off some same stuff to translation yesterday and some how managed to give them 2 front covers. Very strange. Think it was something to do with master pages.
Also this week marks my 48th (ish) week here. So I emailed my 48 week response for the uni today.
Edit: It wasn’t Frame’s fault. I screwed up. But this doesn’t change my feelings on the matter!
So its been a while. Ive not done much more than normal. Handed off posters to translation. Worked on a few odd jobs. Most of my time on Fax Fun!
Last week or so Ive been doing scenarios for it. Today flash crashed as I was saving the file. Now it crashes flash when I open it.
And there isn’t a back up cause the system back up at night and this was a fresh file this morning.
All I can do is open it as an external library and import library objects. But that doesn’t bring back any of the coding.
Not happy!
Yesterday and today we have had the ISO Inspectors at work. So just like at school every one was on their best behaviour.
And just like at school every one was hoping that the inspector didn’t come and ask them what they have been doing.
However unlike school there were no sweets handed out by teachers so we said good things about them.
Shame…
So I’m back from my holiday last week. Ive got to say Im finding it hard to get back in the the swing of work, but I dont think the hay fever is helping.
Still working on the fax training for now.
Thats about it…
Last couple of weeks I’ve been working on Fax training. Doing animations. Normal Stuff.
Next week I’m on holiday!
